Armthorpe Welfare: With 4 mid-table finishes and 18th place finishes in the last 6 seasons Armthorpe will hoping to build on this year's 9th place finish. Their home record was only bettered by the top 3 sides and this should be a decent season for them.
Prediction: Top 8
Arnold Town: I have a funny feeling about them this season. I think they will struggle, there are in my opinion too many improved sides and I think they may fall foul to this
Prediction: I think top 14 would represent a good season for them
Bridlington Town: I never thought Bridlington would come down, I was originally putting my money on Woodley Sports. I think having conceded too many relegation was probably the best thing for them
Prediction: I don't think they will struggle particularly, a minimum of a season back in the NCEL will do them good. I'd say mid-table
Brodsworth Welfare: After a brilliant season I think they will definitely finish above the bottom five but inconsistency may lead to a mid-table finish
Prediction: 10th, they didn't lose a league game in 2008 till mid-March so the potential is there
Dinnington Town: A team I slightly fear this year, I can see them doing a Winterton but on the other hand survival is the main target, South Normanton struggled last year
Prediction: After seeing the potential of previous promoted sides, its top 8 for me.
Eccleshill United: I've said it above, other sides have improved and their lack of firepower may be crucial
Prediction: I'll say 14th, purely guesswork from myself but I think an educated guess
Hall Road Rangers: I think this is a newly promoted side that will struggle. I will be most probably wrong as their home record was outstanding last year. Their conceding of goals away from home nerves me.
Prediction: Reluctantly I'll say it'll be a difficult season for them, survival is definitely the first objective. A good start would throw this prediction to the wall though.
Hallam: A difficult one, I remember saying 6th place on the NCEL message board. I was actually correct. We are apparently title contenders and I'll go with that. I think there is only a few sides capable of winning the league. Winterton, Pickering and Liversedge will be up there too
Prediction: Top 4 and pushing for the title!
Lincoln Moorlands Railway: I think they will struggle yet again. Yes, Glasshoughton deserved to plunge but had two gone down they'd of plummeted as well.
Prediction: A struggle to survive as much I hate to say it
Liversedge: I think top 4 is reasonable again for the Cleckheaton side. An impressive season with silverware to prove it
Prediction: Title contenders, enough said
Long Eaton United: I just think its another side like Eccleshill who I think may struggle.
Prediction: Lower mid-table for me
Maltby Main: Strugglers, just like Lincoln M.R were lucky to survive last season.
Prediction: Have had too many near misses since their promotion from Division One in 2004. This season will probably spell relegation
Mickleover Sports: This year's surprise side....to struggle. I just think they conceded too many in 2007-2008.
Prediction: A decent home record should see them into mid-table, a good start is essential.
Nostell Miners Welfare: Last year's Jack-in-a-box side. They popped out of nowhere to really do quite well.
Prediction: Another good season and top 6 isn't out of sight.
Parkgate: It'll be a slightly tougher season for them, Hallam have taken 2 decent players off them but still the standard will be higher
Prediction: I'll predict a high mid-table finish, 8th - 12th on the basis this league never fails to surprise me
Pickering Town: This is one of the 4 sides I think will do extremely well. Their home record doesnt at all worry me, if they got 35 points away from home with that they'd be unstoppable. It would be top 3 and Uni-bound
Prediction: Top 4 definitely. They are one of 4 sides capable of winning the league, only 3 others are capable of top 3.
Selby Town: One of the sides that will finish top 6, they were slightly inconsistent in 07/08 but are a team to be reckoned with. A team Hallam haven't beaten in over 5 years in the league and not beaten in 11 years away from home
Prediction: Top 6 without doubt, not sure about top 4. If one of the four title contenders fails to finish top 4 Selby will be around to take their place
Shirebrook Town: A side I'd say would finish lowly this season. I'm not entirely sure whether they'll be able to handle a tougher league
Prediction: Its a lovely place to go and I'm relcutant to say it but I think it like Maltby and Lincoln M.R's season will be tough
Thackley: Under the new manager, Billy Fox, Thackley should do well. I think he can turn their fortunes back around
Prediction: Definitely not bottom five, I'd expect mid-table at least
Winterton Rangers: Most clubs wish they'd of applied for promotion! Should they maintain momentum from last season and have kept the same players they'll be frighteningly good again
Prediction: Correct last season with first place in the league I'll predict high again and say top 4. As far as I see it they will be the biggest threat to our title push
