Official opening of the new 1860 Suite

As the redevelopment of the Sandygate road ground approaches its completion the refurbished clubhouse is to be renamed the “1860 Suite” and will be available to supporters and the local community to hire for a range of events and functions.
The official opening of the suite will take place on Friday 13th April to a small invited party of guests representing both the club and the football community within Sheffield and will also mark the blessing of the memorial garden which sits alongside the suite with tributes to ex-players, managers and people associated with Hallam in days gone by. This includes Roger Bell without whose generosity the redevelopment would have remained a dream.
The club believe that the 1860 suite will benefit not only the club but the area as a whole. Chairman David Slater was recently quoted in an article published by the Northern Lifestyle Magazine that “Sandygate is a fantastic and beautiful part of the city. We are providing our community with something that has been missing, a venue for hosting all kinds of events in a beautiful setting.”
