Hallam's Character Shines Through

Who would have bet on Hallam bringing back all three points to Sandygate after a visit to high flying Knaresborough Town ? To be honest in recent weeks the results , although improved, have not told the full story of the performances as the team has grown in confidence and were overdue to get their just rewards.

Hallam took the lead on 18 minutes through  an Aaron Moxam penalty and it stayed 1-0 to the Countrymen up to the break. Knaresborough came out strong at the start of the second half as expected and Steve Bromley equalised on 47 minutes. Just as you thought the game may be slipping away from Hallam it was that man Moxam again, who has shown good from since return to the fold, who shot Hallam back into the lead on 52 minutes.Scott Hartley put the icing on the cake in the 90th minute to secure the vital three points.

This impressive 3-1 win lifts Hallam to 17th in the table and they still have games in hand on those below them so maybe the Watts and Sellars management team can now start to look upwards and give their faithful followers some early Christmas cheer.
