All square at Dinnington

An evenly balanced affair at Dinnington as the Countrymen brought home a point from the first of six away fixtures.
Without injured Sam Eckhardt the question was if Hallam would have that cutting edge to break down a very well organised and stubborn Dinnington defence. They did keep possesion well and their own back three never looked in trouble as they edged a goaless first half.
Forced to replace Danny Booth at the interval some of the creativity was lost from Hallam's game yet it was substitute Jimmy Middleton who came closest to opening the scoring when he forced an excellent save at the near post from ex- Hallam keeper Ledger mid way through the second half.
It was then Dinnington's turn to pressure the Hallam goal and the Countrymen did well to hang on for the point with a notable point blank save from new keeper David Reay in the 90th minute. A solid performance overall on which to build the season.
