Manager asked to Step Down

Following the disappointing home defeat by bottom club Louth Chris Sellars was asked to step down as Manager of Hallam's first team squad.
Chairman Chris Taylor said in an official club statement that " no one is more upset than I at having to take this decision as I have supported Chris in his time as manager and hoped that we had turned a corner. This result and the player's body language rang alarm bells and if we are going to make changes now is the time to do it with a third of the season still to come. We have no immediate plans to appoint Chris's successor and I would like to thank him on behalf of Hallam for his undoubted commitment to the club and more importantly to his players. He has been key in our youth development programme and I hope he remains in charge of his U-18 squad at least until the end of the current season."
Assistant Manager Wayne Thompson will take charge of the team at least for the next two games whilst the committee consider their options.
