Again one could see how hard everyone is working at Hallam to turn around the season however nothing is gift wrapped when you are at the bottom but a helping hand once in a while might be appreciated.

Wayne Thompson's team , with some familiar faces retruning to the fold, dominated  long stages of this match and should be proud of their efforts. They should have been two up within the first half hour of the game and one could feel they might be punished for not taking the chances which came their way however the defining moment came on 37 minutes when defender Ash Morley was adjudged to have unfairly blocked an opponent and not only was a penalty awarded Morley was shown a red card and Hallam were reduced to 10 men.Colin Heath converted the spot kick and the Countrymen went in 1-0 down at the break.

Hallam regrouped and started the  second half strongly but suffered another setback on 53 minutes when Byron Littlefair scored a second for Knaresborough and the fans must have feared the worse. What they then witnessed was the fight and determination of a group of players who have something to prove and how they did not earn at least a point from their second half efforts is a mystery. They know they must do better in front of goal but surely that illusive win can only be around the corner.
