Staveley win close fought encounter

With the Blackwell Miners Welfare game being postponed Julian Watts and his assistant Chris Sellars managed to arrange a last minute replacement freindly with Staveley Miners Welfare kicking off at 12 o'clock at Tapton School. Another fine competitive performance from the Countrymen with Laim Morris  back on the Hallam scoresheet after returning from his short spell at Worksop towards the end of last season and Danny Whiltshire continued his fine form hitting the back of the  net twice. At the end of the 90 minutes Staveleyproved the stronger of the two teams on the day  winning 4-3.
