A crowd of 438 saw Sheffield United strikers Joe Ironside and Danny Philliskirk both netting doubles as United recorded a comfortable 4-0 friendly victory on Thursday evening.

Joe ironsides goals came on 8 & 17 mins with Hallams only serious effort of the first half coming from Wankiewicz's long-range free-kick which Long tipped around the post.

The same pattern followed after the break and had it not been for a handful of saves from reserve goalkeeper, Hancock, keeping out a McFadzean volley and Philliskirk
on two occasions,the scoreline could have been greater. Harriott also hit a half-volley wide of the target.On 87 minutes Philiskirk to lifted the ball over the goalkeeper,
then substitute Williams provided the cross for Philiskirk to complete his quick-fire double.
