Managers Preview - Scott Bates

We take on Rossington Main in the FA Vase this Saturday and Manager Scott Bates took the time out to speak with our 'Mr Content' Glenn Poulton

What do we know about Rossington Main?
A very good young side, league position shows, very lively up front and all hard working.

What can we expect from Hallam on Saturday?
Hopefully a side that should be full of confidence, playing on a great pitch in a good cup competition, we get one shot at this so hope we don't leave anything on the pitch. Plus a hard working committed side, we have faith in all our players, just hoping for a bit of luck in front of goal, think that's what we've been lacking.

Will it be a changed side from the Swallownest game?
I think the squad will change, due to holidays and injuries, that's why we like to have enough numbers to cope with these circumstances.

How important is a cup run?
Very important to me and the club, I think it's a great break from league, a chance to give other players their chance and good cup runs.

Your thoughts on the replay win away at Abbey Hey?
Fantastic display mainly without the ball, one of the youngest teams we've fielded this season in such a big game, just shows the confidence we have in the young lads, they all did great and deserved the credit they got.

Is there anyone you'd like to draw or avoid if we get through to the next round?
Not really, but I love a good away trip. I remember Runcorn last year as a player, the coach trip back was outstanding, think we finished about 2am in club house.

Is there anything you'd like to add?
