On Sunday 8th October Chris Waddle's All Stars will be gathering to play a game in memory of Scott Marsden who tragically passed away earlier this year.
Mick Grant, the manager of the Hallam FC U16's who Scott played for takes up the story;
"In March of this Year, 14 year old Scott Marsden a World Champion Kick Boxer and Hallam JFC Winger, tragically lost his life, competing in a sport that he excelled at.
Whilst the circumstances of Scotts death are still unknown, the legacy that Scott leaves behind, as an adored Son and Brother, A much loved team mate and Highly respected fighter remain.
On the 8th October, A Chris Waddle Celebrity XI will play in a fundraising game in aid of the Bluebell Wood Hospice, in the Memory of Scott Marsden. Chris, Hallam FC and The Marsden Family are raising money for the Bluebell Wood Hospice, who have provided the family immediate and ongoing support after the tragic event.
A Celebrity XI will consist of friends and former colleagues of Chris Waddle, including players, and stars of television and the pop world.
The Chris Waddle Allstars, will play against Scotts team mates, currently Hallam FCs U16s, followed by FC (Nothing) Tolouse, comprising fathers and friends from Scotts football and Kick boxing worlds.
All money raised will go directly to Bluebell wood, and along with the chance to meet, chat to and have the odd selfie with the All Stars, there will be a raffle including, Sports Memorabilia, of signed shirts, and signed balls.
Join us in, what will be a fun filled afternoon of Celebrity football, and help us raise as much money as we can for the Bluebell Wood Hospice."
Doors open at 2pm on the day with a 3pm kick off.
