It was a game of two penalties at Sandygate as Hallam run out 3-0 winners courtesy of a Mitchell Dunne brace.

The game started at a low pitch tempo as neither team looked that threatening in the opening 15 minutes. However, Hallam got the first breakthrough as  the Ollerton Keeper' Ryan Brookes commited a foul in the box and Dunne was on hand to convert the resulting spot kick.

The Countrymen' used that as a platform to press on but despite having a decent chance from a diving header and a Mark West effort, for all the Hosts drive they seem to be lacking that killer touch when it mattered most.

The second half saw Town' come into it more and Andy Sneath had to be at his best to keep out a Ollerton chance.

But despite the visitors increasing presence, it was Hallam who doubled their lead as the indispensable Dunne latched onto a ball across the box to steer the ball home from close range.

Then came the pivotal moment of the whole game as Ollerton thought they'd got themselves back into the contest. Gav King had prodded home from close range however the official had blown for a foul on Josh Bewkett just prior to "the goal" so a penalty was awarded instead. Andy Sneath again made a fantastic block, his second spot kick save in two matches to preserve Hallam's two goal cushion and infuriate the Town' bench.

And just to rub salt in the Ollerton wounds jet further, Gareth Griffiths popped up with a bullet header to meet Chris Wood's sublime cross to put The Blue boys' out of sight with nine minutes remaining.

You couldn't help but feel a little sympathy for Ollerton as a crucial decision went against them but Hallam did deserve the victory as they climb to 12th in the division and look forward to the visit of Grimsby Borough at Sandygate on Saturday, 3pm KO.
