Hallam 1 (Fox pen 76) Dronfield Town 4 ( Savage 4, Fereday 13,19 Baxter 71)

Hallam suffered their first league loss at Sandygate since August as a three goal blitz inside the first twenty minutes sealed The Countryman's fate.

Pre match, Hallam conducted a very fitting tribute on Armistice day, lead by members of the royal Legion and a bugler.

And onto the match itself and Dronfield wasted no time in getting themselves in front as a floating corner in the 4th minute was only half parried away by Dave Darwent and after an initial shot was blocked, Christian Savage found room at the edge of the box to slot home in the bottom right hand corner.
Town' then doubled up six minutes later as Mark Ferraday latched onto a superb ball from deep inside the Dronfield half to run and then execute a fine left footed finish from an acute angle to leave Hallam well and truly reeling.

And with less than half of the first period gone, the Derbyshire outfit were three goals to the good as again another set piece caused Hallam problems and Fereday again struck from three yards.
Dronfield had two more glorious opportunites to extend their lead furthur but Darwent was equal to both chances keeping an out of sorts Hallam in a contest that was shaping up to be a very one sided affair in the visitors favour.

Half time saw the dramatic inclusion of Liam Osbourne in goal, as Darwent picked up another injury and the hosts didn't have a recognised replacement of the bench.
Hallam seemed to be at the races more in the second half as Sam Fewkes cut back eluded every one and a smart free kick was nicely turned over by the Dronfield Goalkeeper Lewis Naylor.

However, Substitute Ryan Baxter met a Tom Fairweather precision free kick with a bullet header to end any hopes the home team may have been harbouring of getting back into the contest.
Hallam did though find a consolation as Hallam were awarded a spot kick as Naylor bungled down Andy Fox from an in-swinging corner and Fox duly obliged from 12 yards out to put some respectability in the score line.

So Dronfield claim their first win at Sandygate and with it, a run of six successive league wins in S10 comes to an dismal end, but we go again on Wednesday at AFC Emley in a rearranged fixture, KO 745pm.
