Hallam's Wings Clipped

Posted 26th September 2012 - Posted in Match Reports

On a dreadful rain swept evening in Clipstone one began to wonder what the Countrymen have to do to earn their next win. Dominating the opening ten minutes and going close twice themselves  a header from Jimmy Adcock on 14 minutes followed by a Warren Hatfield close range effort on 17 minutes meant that Hallam once again faced an up hill battle.

2-0 down at the break Hallam enjoyed the lion's share of possesion in the second period and created a number of chances but failed to convert any. Robert Paling then finished expertly after an exhcange of passes down the right hand flank to put the home side further in front.

Finally the Countrymen's pressure paid off and Hallam's man of the match Mark Wall rose to head the ball home from a corner to round off an excellent personal perfromance on the night.

Surely with this effort and work rate it won't be long until the Countrymen bag their next points.
