Support Emily’s Limestone Way Charity Trek!!
Countrymen in 26-mile Teenage Cancer Charity Fundraiser
Some of you may know our keen supporters, Joe and Dad (James), and their flag that is displayed at many of our home and away games. Joe's sister, Emily is walking the Limestone Way with James (pictured )over 3 days during February half term. Day 1 takes in Castleton to Milldale, day 2 heads to Youlgreave via Monyash, and the final day involves a walk into Matlock.
Emily is raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, because as she says, "Some members of my family have had cancer and I wanted to support people around my age who have cancer too.
I haven't done a long walk over three days before - we are walking 26 miles over the course of those days. I am going to try and struggle my way through it and hopefully raise a lot of money!"
At the time of writing, Emily (pictured with Mum, Dad and Joe away at Harrogate) is nearly at her target of £500, and is now hoping to get even more! She says " I would love it if any Hallam supporters could sponsor me and dad. I have been to watch Hallam quite a few times, including Harrogate away this season. Please give as much as you can. It's for a good cause. Let's pray for good weather!"
If you want to sponsor Emily, you can do so online at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/limestoneway
Emily is going to write a blog on her walk, which will be available on her dad's website www.walkingthepeaks.com.
