Young Countrymen Win Convincingly in Dronfield

q4aowB8x 400x400Hallam FC ‘s Under 19’s side got their Worksop Van Hire North Midlands Development League season off to a tremendous start with a comprehensive 8-2 win at Dronfield Town Under-19’s last Thursday evening-a result which sees them top the table after the first round of matches, writes Ann Holland for the Hallam FC Website.

It took just a minute for the young Countrymen to hit the front, and by half time the visitors had doubled their advantage. Hallam cut loose in the second half to complete a convincing win and delight Manager Mick Khan, who told the Hallam FC Website “I’m very pleased with our start to the Under-19’s season. Playing a young Dronfield Town side, we quickly took hold of the game and controlled it at our pace.

“All the players involved gave the 100% commitment I had asked for” Mick added. It’s a great progression for them. They now understand their roles much better, and their game management has moved on so much from last season when we were a very young squad”

“I’m very pleased” Mick. “We may have tougher tests to come, but we’ll move on quickly to the next game”.

The Under-19’s are next in action at Basford United next Friday evening.(Mill Street Playing Fields, NG6 0LD)
