20190921 152800It was a five star performance from Hallam, who put in arguably their best performance of the season to come out comprehensive winners over Harrogate Railway Athletic at Sandygate. The Countrymen were 5-0 winner with Jordan Turner bagging four and Kiyani Clayton getting his first for the club, in a game which also saw the first appearance of our new and impressive home kit, in front of a crowd of 168.

Another three point haul for Hallam on Dawson Drive

Stephen WhiteheadUp to tenth in Toolstation NCEL Division One for Hallam after a convincing 3-0 away win at Hall Road Rangers last night. At a damp Haworth park, the Countrymen established a three-goal advantage early in the second half and saw out the game to extend their recent undefeated run in League and Cup, write Ian Jones and Glenn Poulton for the Hallam FC Website.

Watched by a crowd of 31, Will Wraith set the visitors on their way after 24 minutes and Julian Lawrence doubled the lead after 36 minutes. Richard Tootle’s third three minutes into the second period pretty much confirmed another three-point haul for Hallam despite Rangers best efforts to get back into the contest.

Hallam made to rue missed chances at Retford

A 2-1 defeat at high-flying Retford on Saturday brought the curtain down on a week to forget in Toolstation NCEL Division One for Hallam. Following the adandonment in midweek, when the floodlights failed with the Countrymen 4-0 up after an hour, a penalty just after the hour saw Hallam head home empty- handed from The Rail after Richard Tootle had levelled the contest with a screamer from distance in the first half. Ian Jones and Glenn Poulton from the Hallam FC Website caught up with Manager Stephen Whitehead, who offered his reflections on a turbulent few days.

It was a cracking afternoon at Sandygate on Saturday . Hallam FC unveiled its 2019/20 kit through a thoroughly professional video and social media release, with the shirts flying off the shelves ; and the home side then went on to defeat Harrogate Railway Athletic by 5-0 in a comprehensive Toolstation NCEL Division One display.

Late FA Cup Agony for the Countrymen

v Staveley MWToolstation NCEL Premier Division side Staveley Miners Welfare advanced to the First Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup-and a home tie with Lincoln United, after a battling 2-0 win over Hallam at Sandygate yesterday. 

It was a cracking tie watched by another fine crowd of 304 with absolutely nothing in the game entering the final few minutes. 

But the encounter turned at the very death in a pivotal few minutes. First, Hallam striker Jordan Turner went desperately close with a far post header after a terrific right-wing cross; then the Trojans raced up the other end for substitute Kurtis Morley to strike from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

Dancing in the Dark....

WorsboroughEight minutes into the second half at Park Road last night, Hallam looked to have got their Toolstation NCEL Division One challenge up and running. They led home side Worsbrough Bridge 4-0 and were threatening to add to their tally. Extra Time Frustration for battling Countrymen

It was a thrilling afternoon in Cleckheaton yesterday; but when the dust had settled, it was NCEL Premier Division side Liversedge who advanced to the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Vase after edging past Hallam after extra time. It was tough on the Countrymen-and our own Frazer Turner was there to capture the action for the Hallam FC Website
